An Advanced Intervention Professional Certification training designed for you, the busy professional, that will encompass all the styles and types of interventions that you will encounter. Most trained and certified interventionists only offer drug and alcohol interventions for their clients. In this training, we will educate you on how to provide an intervention for sex addiction, mental health, food addiction, gambling addiction, and more.
In this class, we will teach you how to become a top interventionist and offer the most comprehensive and exclusive services for your clients. We will cover how to perform the surprise and invitational models of intervention, our exclusive RAAD model of Intervention, and help you perfect the art of the close.
This Advanced Intervention Professional Certification and Professional Training Program will cover Individual, Family and Business Interventions (C- Suite and Executives), on an in-depth level and we teach you tips and tricks to complete the interventions in 5-8 hours max from the time you step out of the car or off the plane (most of your work is done without ever leaving your home or office). This class will assist you in becoming an addiction intervention expert. The Exclusive RAAD model focuses on body language, client placement, meeting the client at their level, and proper placement for continuum care. The 15 types of clients will be covered as well as Mock Interventions.
The Addictions Academy offers an Advanced Intervention Professional Certification and Professional Training program that covers drug and alcohol, sex addiction, mental health, food addiction, and more with in-depth training over 3 days. It includes case management and 10 hours of Intervention supervision and mentorship. This is an experiential class, hands-on with lots of practice time and understanding of the in-depth principles of intervention and personality types you will encounter in the actual intervention. We will cover all types of addictions, mental health and eating disorders, cutting, criminal clients, wealthy clients, and more. If you have ever wanted to learn a model of intervention that is quick and uses opened-ended questions, sales psychology, and Motivational Interviewing, this is the class. We specialize in closing the Intervention quickly, ethically, and legally.
NOTE: There are NO prerequisites to this course and it includes a self-study Case Management Training if you are planning to take insurance for interventions. We do offer Job Board, Networking, and Business/Private Practice assistance. We also hire from within once you are trained, certified, insured, and bonded. Classes include a 6-hour ethics class and 10 hours of Intervention Mentorship with a Master Interventionist. We offer this class via video self-study, online virtual classroom, and live in person in Miami.

Mike Diamond, NCIP, NCCM, NCRC, has appeared on many TV shows including A & E’s Intervention show, NY Ink, Miami Ink and Bondi ink. Mike is a keynote speaker and best-selling author.
Originally from Perth, Western Australia, Mike got off to a bit of a rough start. Battling undiagnosed dyslexia, he started using drugs and alcohol at age 12. At age 16, he was expelled for from High School. At 19, Mike moved to Sydney and enrolled at the Actors Center. To pay for his acting classes Mike got a job at a local clothing store which, unbeknownst to him at the time, would change his life forever. Lady Luck was on Mike’s side when a customer at the store handed him a Green Card Lottery ticket. Mike moved to America in 1997.

What is an intervention?
An Intervention is an occasion on which a person with an addiction or other behavioral problem is confronted by a group of friends or family members, or just the interventionist, in an attempt to persuade them to address the issue. Most interventionists work in a crisis setting and disrupt the behavior on demand. A person would hire an addiction interventionist to get help for an alcoholic, drug addict or other affliction causing harm to the client or the family.
How do I become an Interventionist?
There are currently no state or federal rules or certification bodies overseeing intervention so you need to find the style and model of intervention you want to learn and study under those professionals. You do not need an advanced degree to become an interventionist, but most interventionists have lived experienced.
How much do interventionists make?
Most top interventionists charge up to $10,000 to perform an intervention for a family or a business. Interventionists can of course work pro bono in a nonprofit setting, or for a company on a salary which is usually around $42,000 per year.
How do I get certified as an Interventionist?
You chose the training program that interests you, complete the courses and exams with that company and they can certify you. There is no state or federal regulatory board at this time and anyone can advertise as an interventionist, although we do not recommend it.
