Kristoph was recognized for his efforts as Gosnold created a new position for him called recovery specialist. Kristoph then went on to get his LADC from Umass Boston and became a Certified Arise Interventionist.
In 2012, Kristoph helped develop the nationally recognized and award winning young adult opiate treatment program and the recovery management program. Kristoph’s work was documented in the Boston Globe, New York Times, Cape Cod Times, Bloomberg News, NPR, local magazines, radio and television.
Currently, Kristoph also runs a weekly family support group for Gosnold which is geared towards families who have loved ones that suffer from substance use disorders.
Kristoph also has worked in Gosnold’s prevention department speaking at high schools, middle schools, grammar schools and local colleges. Kristoph worked with local students and teachers to develop a video that talks about awareness and prevention. The video is played in most health classes in the local area.
Recently, Kristoph has been piloting a new program for Gosnold: The police overdose follow up program. Kristoph is working with 16 local police departments riding with special officers and going to houses of people who have suffered a near fatal opiate overdose and offering them help.
Kristoph was also trained an certified by world famous Cali Estes in Recovery Coaching, Family Recovery Coaching, intervention work and train the trainer.
