The Addictions Academy offers a FREE CLASS to anyone who has lost a loved one to addiction
In today’s world, you would be hard pressed to find someone who has not been affected directly or indirectly by addiction. Most of us have even lost someone to addiction. The heroin epidemic is a big contributor to the spike in deaths that we have seen in the past few years. We here at The Addictions Academy want to do something for the families that have lost a loved one to addiction. We are now offering a FREE CLASS to anyone who has lost a loved one to addiction.
The three classes that we are offering are Recovery Coaching I, Intervention and Family Recovery Coaching. Let’s take a moment to talk about why each of these courses offered are so important.
Recovery Coaching I offers a class in learning how a Nationally Certified Recovery Coach works with a recovering addict to help keep them clean and sober after they get clean and sober. At The Addictions Coach, we have seen a spike in those who seem to have a firm grip on their recovery get caught up in a deadly relapse before they know it. These deadly relapses often end in death. Recovery Coaching I gives you the knowledge to help a loved one realize their triggers and help them reverse the thoughts of relapse before they actually act on their destructive impulses.
Intervention is another free class option. A successful intervention can be a life or death situation for an active user. Learning how to strongly convince an active drug user that treatment and/or professional help is in their best interest is one of the most important skills you can have. Usually, the last thing an active drug user wants to do is put their drug of choice down and get into a structured program developed to get them clean and sober and keep them clean and sober. So learning how to convince those still using these deadly drugs to put them down and accept the help that is being offered is extremely important.
Family Recovery Coaching is the third, free option that we are offering those who have lost a loved one to addiction. Let’s face it, a lot of families who have lost a loved one to addiction are dysfunctional in some aspect. Family Recovery Coaching teaches the family how to act as one moving entity when it comes to helping a loved one get clean and sober and stay clean and sober. There are so many moving parts to a family and it is imperative to learn how to act in “harmony” to get the best result when it comes to saving a loved ones life!
