PROFESSIONAL NUTRITIONAL RECOVERY COACH CERTIFICATION AND TRAINING PROGRAM

Nationally Certified Nutritional Recovery Coaching (NCNRC)

nutritional recovery coachingIn our Nationally Certified Nutritional Recovery Coaching course, we will address the importance of re-building a relationship with wholesome foods, and the necessity of good nutrition throughout addiction recovery. More often than not, active addicts deplete their bodies of all good nutrition by either making poor food choices or not eating at all. Pop Tarts and Hot Pockets become the food of choice in addiction. Fast, fatty, sugary foods are often eaten because they’re easy and cheap. Money is reserved for the alcohol or the drugs and food is secondary, if the addict chooses to even eat. Years of drug and alcohol abuse will wreak havoc on the body. In this course, we will teach you how to eat properly, provide your body with the correct nutrients and heal your body from the inside out. Therapy and talk coaching are only part of the process. This course will identify key basic nutrition elements that will be the building blocks to proper eating.

The key to good nutrition is understanding your body and brain chemistry, not just your emotions. Addiction creates chemical changes that affect you both physically and emotionally. From muscle breakdown and fatigue to anger and even depression, poor nutrition affects every facet of the mind and body. We will teach you the key nutrients that the body needs to become balanced and return to homeostasis. You will learn what foods to eat to repair specific damages done by certain drugs as well as how to heal your body from the inside out. Food is Medicine.

It is important to understand that not all foods are created equal and neither are calories. We will address not only the most essential wholesome foods to include in your diet, but also the foods and ingredients that should never be a part of a nutritional eating plan. You will leave this class with deeper understanding of nutrition, chemicals in food and how they affect the body and brain, how drugs damage specific organs and how you can heal with specific foods and we even include a sample meal plan for yourself and your clients.

NOTE: There are NO prerequisites to this course and Nutritional Recovery Coaching Certification and Training includes an ethics class and 10 hours of coach mentorship. We do recommend that you pair this class with Food Addiction Certification.  We do offer Job Board, Networking, and Business/Private Practice assistance. We also hire from within once you are trained, certified, insured, and bonded.
