Sex Addiction Coaching and Sex Addiction Therapy Certification

Therapists

AASAT has designed a training program with you in mind!  Become an SRT (Sex Recovery Therapist)sm in the privacy of your own home or office.  The days of traveling for conferences, supervision and continuing education hours are over!  You are in control of when and how long you take to complete your training.  Watch and review your training DVD’s as often as needed to gain valuable information and skills in one of the fastest growing clinical issues of our day, sexual addiction.  This program is designed with the therapist in mind, who is working in an outpatient setting and needing practical information on treating sexually addicted clients, their partners and family members.  Each participant will receive a certification of completion suitable for framing.

With this AASAT training, you will gain proven clinical insight into treating addictive behaviors involving pornography, prostitutes, multiple affairs, plus training on counseling their partners and adult children.  Both men and women are seeking counseling more than ever for sexually addictive behaviors. Becoming an SRT distinguishes you as a therapist who can more completely treat sexual addiction in your community.

Coaches

Become a certified SRC (Sexual Recovery Coach) by successfully completing all 47 hours of the AASAT Sex Addiction Training Program and a qualifying Life Coaching program.  AASAT has created a 47-hour program to train life coaches how to work with sexual addicts and partners of sexual addicts.  Being a sexual addiction coach is a two step process.  This includes completing the AASAT training (47 hours of DVD’s, Worksheets and 6 months of telephone supervision with Dr. Doug or other trained supervisors) and an approved life coach training which can take about 6 to 8 months.  AASAT includes training to coach partners as well as addicts.  Both need to be fully completed to become a certified SRC (Sexual Recovery Coach).

*Life coaching is not counseling. Therapists diagnose and treat a problem. Life coaching is a positive process to help one’s goals in recovery.
