Sex Addiction Coaching and Sex Addiction Therapy Certification
This class in conjunction with Dr. Doug Weiss at Heart to Heart Counseling in Colorado. His company, ASSAT, offers you the ability to become certified as a Sex Addiction Therapist or Sex Addictions Coach, along with our certifications in life coaching and recovery coaching.
With sex addiction coaching training, you will gain proven clinical insight into treating addictive behaviors involving pornography, prostitutes, multiple affairs, plus training on counseling their partners and adult children. Both men and women are seeking counseling more than ever for sexually addictive behaviors. Becoming an SRT distinguishes you as a therapist who can more completely treat sexual addiction in your community.
To Become a certified SRC (Sexual Recovery Coach) by successfully completing all 47 hours of the AASAT Sex Addiction Training Program and a qualifying Life Coaching program. AASAT has created a 47-hour program to train life coaches how to work with sexual addicts and partners of sexual addicts. Being a sexual addiction coach is a two step process. This includes completing the AASAT training (47 hours of DVD’s, Worksheets and 6 months of telephone supervision with Dr. Doug or other trained supervisors) and an approved life coach training which can take about 6 to 8 months. AASAT includes training to coach partners as well as addicts. Both need to be fully completed to become a certified SRC (Sexual Recovery Coach).
NOTE: There are TWO prerequisites to this course and both must be completed to participate in Dr. Doug Weiss” Sex addiction coaching certification program. Also included is an ethics class and 10 hours of supervision. We do offer Job Board, Networking, and Business/Private Practice assistance. We also hire from within once you are trained, certified, insured, and bonded.

How do I become a sex addiction coach?
You need to be a certified life coach and a certified recovery coach first to sit for the ASSAT training with Dr. Weiss. Once you complete both of these at The Addictions Academy you can take the sex coaching class that is 6 months long, pass all the exams and you can practice. There are no state or federal requirements at this time to be a sex addiction coach
